adidas Originals Three Stripes

t-shirt // adidas via size?
jeans // asos (sale)
watch // casio via asos
gazelle trainers // adidas via footasylum

Hello lovelies! I wish I'd had a chance to show off this tee earlier, I've had it about a month now. Thankfully it's still in stock online. I love these adi tees, I definitely wanted to get one and I wasn't sure what colour because the black and white are really popular, but then I saw size? had the grey and I knew it was for me.

Generally my style these days is all plain basics and black/white with lots of denim, but I will always be into my sportswear (as a girl obsessed with trainers would be) and this top is just so bladdy nice. I thought about mixing brands with my trainers but decided to just be matchy and put on some more three stripes.

White Sweater & BDG Mom Jeans

sweater // asos (sold out)
jeans // BDG via urban outfitters (sale)

FINALLY a new outfit post! The instagram photos and the one where I messed up my camera settings and they were too bright definitely don't count. I've had barely any time to take some proper nice photos in my room with new items, but here we are. I'm actually obsessed with this outfit, it's definitely not just a blog outfit, I'd wear this anywhere. This sweater is brand new and sooo white. I'll be devo'd when it stops being so white.

The mom jeans are also new. I've wanted pale mom jeans for a while and they're very similar to the £70 American Apparel ones that I wasn't willing to spend the money on. They retail for £50 but I found them in the UO sale for £25. They're a 24 inch waist lol and I do not have a 24 inch waist. They only had 24 or 27 and I usually fall in the 25/26 bracket so I have to positively squeeze into them. I plan to stick something in the waistband like a coat hanger to attempt to give them a bit more give because sitting down isn't the most comfortable right now. The things you do for a bargain! What do you guys think?

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette & Eyeshadow Primer Potion

I've never been much of an eyeshadow wearer. I never used to be good at applying it, and when I did it went everywhere because my eyelids are so oily. Usually if I wore a shadow it would last without creasing for an hour. I gave up completely on wearing it to work because it was a mess by lunch. I did really fancy getting a Naked palette, and I decided I'd test out the primer potion and see if it helped at all. Generally I don't trust reviews of priming/mattifying products because I am always 100 times more oily than the girl recommending them. Basically I'm gonna stop rambling and tell you that the UD primer potion is incredible and you HAVE to buy it if you have oily eyelids. I get home from work having worn the eyeshadows from 8am-6pm and they look as if I've just put them on. Very happy ^.^

Jacket of Dreams: The Zara Faux Leather

jacket // zara
trousers // h&m
trainers // vans via footasylum

First off, sorry about how bright these pictures are! I was short on time getting these snapped and had a big faff getting the settings on my camera right. Never mind. Now, the jacket. Omg. I mean who even goes to 30 degree Barcelona and comes back with a leather jacket? I do. I have been in dire need of a new leather jacket for the last year. I have a nice faux one that I got in Topshop in 2012(?) I think, and whilst it's a lovely jacket and still totally wearable, it doesn't have the sort of "biker" feel I've been looking for. Enter: Zara. I was initially looking for a real leather one, and I was willing to pay upwards of £100 for it, but I was just browsing in one of the many, many Barcelona Zara shops and noticed it in the corner. It is PERFECT. Everything I wanted, and pretty much a copy of the All Saints leather jacket everyone always wants. I am completely in love with it, and because Zara is cheaper in Spain I got it for 40 euros which technically means I spent less than the £40 they're charging in the UK (got to love the current exchange rate). Yay!

What do you think of my newness? Love?

Barcelona Photos

I've just thrown this post together to show off a few snaps from my holiday last week to Barcelona. I went with one of my Uni friends and it was a sweaty but awesome 5 days. I'd recommend getting tapas pretty much every evening like I did, and staying halfway between the port and the centre of the city which I also did. Pretty much all of these pictures also went onto my Instagram, so if you're interested in any of the outfit details, I tagged everything in the Insta pics.

Look out for a mini Barcelona lookbook/vlog next week!

Noughties French Plaits

Just a quick one to show you my latest fave hairstyle. Why have I never been doing this? Plait them for one day, and then wear super curly waves the next! I also ended up dressing like a cross between a cutesy little girl (the hair) and a little boy in a playground (the clothes).

The top is from Brandy Melville if you're interested!

Brandy Melville & Ultra Boost

top // brandy melville (other colour)
culottes // girls on film via asos (sold out)
trainers // adidas via drome (sold out)
bag // urban outfitters (sale)

The ultra boost in action <3 <3 This is definitely one of my favourite outfits that I've featured on my blog. This top is new, it's like a t-shirt dress style, except obviously here I tucked it in. You really cannot have enough stripes! What you thinkin?

As this post goes live I am currently in Barcelonaaaaa. I'm very excited to put together a lil' lookbook from my holiday and get up some holiday outfit pictures. Watch this space!

Boyfriend's Denim Shirt

shirt // topman (sale)
jeans // asos (similar)

I did a post last month where I showed you guys two Topman shirts I'd bought myself and my boyfriend. I kept the black, he got the blue. Well now I've borrowed the blue, and if I do say so myself, I look as good as he does in it. Denim shirts are such a staple and I think any girl can and should do the 'boyfriend shirt' and go oversized. Offset it with skinny jeans like I have here or go boyfriend jeans (in a different shade of blue) and do the full oversized hog. I am also wearing a pair of sandals from Footasylum by the brand Onsker. They're super comfy and I am such a fan of white shoes at the minute!

July Lookbook

I did a little four outfit summer lookbook entitled English summer, because we can't exactly call it a normal summer over here. I haven't seen above 20 degrees in ages. It doesn't help that I'm in the north of England. Rain city.

Enjoy! x G
