Hopeless Youth: Part ll

t-shirt // hopeless youth
skirt // topshop
boat shoes // topshop
sunglasses // new look
watch // casio

The weather in the north has been amazing this week (bar today actually... today not so much). I'm so pale that I don't get my legs out if I can avoid it, but tights don't go well with the sun. I bought this t-shirt during my exam period as a sort of cheer-me-up buy, and then saved it for wearing once I was free. There were a lot of sale options to choose from, but this t-shirt was so cool that I couldn't pass it up. It's mainly black, which I love because I personally prefer dark clothes, but the mix of colours on the front and the words 'surf club' make it feel ultra summery. Also, I think the sunglasses give a sort of futuristic/grungy vibe (is that even a thing? It is now) with their colouring.

Tie-Dye & Birthday

T-shirt // New Look (tie dye done myself)
Jeans // Topshop
Shirt // New Look
Trainers // New Balance
Watch // Casio

Back in my home city again, here are some shots of me with beautiful Manchester in the background. I guess I'm going to have to get used to lots of people walking past (I'm pretty accustomed to me and a photographer alone in a forest, so it's a daunting experience).

This was just a casual outfit I chose for walking around and some light shopping. It was quite warm so a light t-shirt was a must, and yes there's a tiny bit of belly out. I haven't worn my New Balance for a while and I find they just add that sporty element that I always need in an outfit. Hope you like!

P.S. I'm 21 now! My birthday was yesterday. As it's a milestone birthday I got some fab gifts from my boyfriend, family and friends and I will be sharing some of them soon in a YouTube birthday haul so look out for it ^-^

Kimono // H&M
Jeans // Topshop
T-shirt // Asos
Shoes // Debenhams
Watch // Casio
Loom band bracelet // Gift

I've been on the hunt for the perfect kimono for ages now, and considering they're massively in trend and bloody everywhere I can't find one that suits me. This one, unfortunately, belongs to my sister. I fell in love with it one day in H&M, vowed to wait for it, and went home to find my sister already had it in her wardrobe. My issue with kimonos is that most of them are a little too feminine for my taste, but this one is perfect and I think the colours are just beautiful.

I graduate from university on Friday, which means I'll be back in Manchester for the foreseeable future. Although I do love my rural scenery, it's great being back in my home city because it means I can take blog photos in a more urban setting!

Lola Shorts

Crop-top // H&M
Lola shorts // Ark
Nike trainers // JD
Bag // Primark
Chain necklace // Topshop
Vivienne Westwood ring // Silver Tree Jewellery
Watch // Asos
Loom band bracelet // Gift (my boyfriend's little sister <3)

It was a beautiful day yesterday, appropriate to showcase my newest favourite shorts. These Ark shorts have a gorgeous silk-feel, and the print is amazing. If I was going to a festival this summer - which I'm sadly not - I'd 100% wear them to it. Seeing as the shorts are a statement piece, I kept it simple with a soft grey crop and black sneaks. What do you think?

Summer Rain

Denim jacket // Topman
T-shirt // Topshop
Skort // New Look
Trainers // Nike
Bag // Just Hype
Watch // Casio

I don't know if you can tell, but it was raining this day - it becomes obvious once you spot the rain patches on my top. Kudos to my photographer, who held a hoody over my camera so as not to get it wet, but could barely see what she was even shooting. Now that I'm back home in Manchester for the foreseeable future (therefore not in Lancaster), I have lost my wonderful photographer Mae Reddaway. So for now my tripod, best friends and boyfriend will be helping me out. We'll see how it goes...

I've been into skorts since this time last year but only recently picked up this monochrome number. It's cute as anything, and is a very day-to-night piece as well. I imagine I'll wear it in other posts with more black and grey, but for now, I wanted a more summery look (although the weather let me down). And as always for me, a pair of sneaks keeps it casual.

P.S. My second video is up on YouTube! Slightly less nervous in this one...
